Thank you for visiting the Sportsman's Tactical Shooters website!
Sportsman's Tactical Shooters (STS) are a recreational, tactical shooting group, based out
of the Humble,
Texas area, who practice and improve gun handling and shooting skills. The majority of our
shooters are experienced International
Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) members who possess solid shooting skills.
Sportsman's Tactical Shooters use IDPA style matches that stress the realistic use of handguns
in near-to-real world scenarios. Emphasis is on drawing from concealment, shooting while moving,
shooting from behind cover, reloading, engagement of multiple targets, and safe gun handling.
Matches are fast, fun, and excellent practice for
Concealed Handgun License (CHL) holders.

* Starting October 4, 2007, Sportsman's Tactical Shooters will stop our weekly Thursday unofficial matches
at Thunder Gun Range in Conroe, Texas. We will start up again when the new Sportsman's Outlet is completed.
However, estimated completion date for Sportsman's Outlet is still pending. Interested shooters may join us
at the Wednesday "Fun" matches held by the Thunder Tactical Shooters club.
